A service alteration is a change in the location of your electricity supply and meter. If you’re planning building, demolition or renovation works at your property, you may need your electricity supply and meter moved to a new position.

We’ll check to see if we need to cross any neighbouring land and gain the necessary permission from the landowner(s). You will need to contact your electricity supplier to arrange for them to move your meter on the same day we move your supply. You’ll also need to have your electrician attend to connect your supply internally.

You can apply using our online form or by downloading a paper version and sending it back to us. We will then design your works and send you a quote. You’ll have a chance to speak to your planner to make sure you understand the information and ask any questions.
