Transparency and clarity in the connections process is essential. The following tools developed as part of our clearview programme allow National Grid Electricity Distribution customers to have more detailed insight into the pipeline of connections and the Distribution Use of Service tariffs across our region.
The clearviewconnect report provides a comprehensive view of capacity headroom at all our license area Grid Supply Points (GSPs). This information may be useful for prospective developers to identify the GSPs at which they could have the earliest chance and lowest cost of accessing a generation connection.
The clearviewcleanpower2030 report provides a regional view of the generation and storage connections eligible for the Gate 2 to whole queue process (G2TWQ) under Connections Reform. Connecting customers can identify their relative queue position based on transmission queue entry date being used by NESO.
The clearviewcharge report provides a view of the Distribution use of Service tariffs across all our licence areas for LV and HV assets connected (or looking to connect) to our network. This information may be useful for connected customers wishing to take advantage of cheaper time bands, or for prospective developers to understand the potential impact of DUOS charges on projects in their portfolio.
